Irish Team, Flextec Emerald Islanders, have qualified for the 2009 Airflo

 Anglian Water International Final, at Rutland Water in October of this year.

The team consisted of (left to right), all members of the ITFFA are pictured

 above in their new Flextec Tackle Design Fleeces.

The boys travelled to Lynn Brenig in North Wales to compete in the Welsh

Heat of this prestigous competition, against some of the top teams in the UK.

Finishing 4th overall, they have secured their place in the grand final where

 they will compete against some of the top teams in Europe including teams

 from France & Belgium.

They caught a total of 25 fish on the final day and Arden Pollock

finished the second best rod of the day.

The lads would like to thank Andrew Train for all his help and support

and will try exceptionally hard to promote his brand of Flextec at the

International final in October.

Rainbow which he took during practise. This turned out to be the heaviest

EMERALD ISLANDERS

2ND ON LLYN BRENIG

Well done to I.T.F.F.A  members,

Their 6 man Emerald Islanders team traveled to Lynn Brenig to compete at the

Welsh Heat of the Anglian Water Fulling Mill International Team Competition.

After winning this match last year, the lads were keen to perform well to prove

that it was not a one of.

They proved this by finishing second out of 15 teams, only to be beaten by

 fellow Irish Team

Claret Dabblers (Northern Ireland). which included.

Freddie Steele, Niall Cromie, Ronnie Patterson, Stuart McMurran,

Brian Bingham, Darryl Grimason

Five Irish men finished in the top eight individual places out of 90 anglers

ITFFA NEWS

        ITFFA FLEXTEC

 TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

            12th APRIL 2008

   LOUGH LENE (WESTMEATH)

 

The ITFFA are running a new team competition.

ITFFA Clubs are invited to enter teams of 4

anglers to compete for the National Club Title.

 

Due to time restraints, this years competition will be a straight final,

with the first 6 Teams (from each Province), to send their entry form to their own Provincial Secretary, being entered. (First come first served).

 

However, I have asked, each Provincial Secretary to try to organise their own provinces

qualifying heats this year, for next years Grand Final.

 

The competition will be fished on a catch & release basis, and there will

be prizes for the top 6 teams in the final. The winners will receive the

ITFFA FLEXTEC TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY.

 

This is a fund raising event, to raise funds for the ITFFA so please support us.
